I had all sorts of problems with it - I was trying to copy some 200 MB of initial media files and it always gave me errors like duplicate folders that I could not delete, files with 0KB and files with format error when I player in the MP4 players.

So did you low level format the player according to the hacked thread, or not?

After going through this forum I realized that the memory has been hacked. It is actually a 128MB player - now all the problems make sense.

Why don't you try going through a little more of this forum. You'll find that your story is nothing new, and you'll be able to answer your own question about what they've done in the past for those who got bum players (note that I didn't say "hacked player", because apparently, they're not). For that reason, there's no need to be yelling "BEWARE!" from the rooftops, like there's a piano falling from above, when its only a feather gently floating to the ground. Which means stop worrying, if you have a player that is showing less memory than it should, UXcell will fix your problem. The only problem may be in contacting them.... try
