mossealert, if you arent convinced i am sure one of your friends might be having a nokia mobile phone. borrow its battery from them for a few mins and see if it works. you could also borrow it for a day to be satisfied that it doesnt occur over a period of time.
the battery should be either bl-4c or 5c. bl-4c is preferred since you can close the battery cover as well. but if you can find only bl-5c its ok. dont close the battery cover. just test and see  |

I've finally managed to get the cover off... But taking the battery out doesn't fix it.
I'll try and get my hands on another battery...
