Hi,
I had a similar problem with my player. (also rockchip based).
The player would not turn on by the on button.
the only way to turn on the player was
1) PLug Player to USB connection (on PC)
2) turn the player to the on position.
3) disconnect the player usb connection. (while the player was on data transfer mode with out following the normal Safe disconnect)
I returned the player. and I'm waiting replacement
