I was impressed until I came to load some music onto it. The files appeared to copy ok but the player only recognised the first album. After reading through the posts on this forum and then formatting the Glacier it now returns 128MB as its memory size, what a disappointment.
Just emailed UXCELL so lets hope I get a replacement quickly. Anyone know if they will reimburse whatever it costs me to return the player?
For now I would definitely recommend that these players are avoided until Uxcell sort out what's happening. Hopefully this isn't a deliberate attempt to rip people off.

No, its NOT a "deliberate attempt to rip people off". It costs them money to replace defective units like that. They might be down for the chinese new year, so expect to wait for a response, but you will get a replacement either way. You'll also have to wait to find out if you need to return the old player, because no one here can tell you that. If you do, just send the old player in an envelope sans battery, it weighs like 50grams, so it shouldnt be that much to ship.
If everyone took your advice and avoided Glaciers just because you got a unit with less mem, then all those other people who did not get such units would have to suffer, wouldnt they. Judging by the amount of complaints like yours around here, its only like about 2% that may end up with a unit like yours. Hardly enough to recommend avoiding them altogether.
