It is actually a 'sticker' of sorts, covering a 'cap' that is attached with 2 small screws on either side of the unit that in turn, attach it to some kind of bracket. The headphone 'loop' holder is physically attached and moulded to this cap beneath the sticker. I have removed the screws and pulled off the cap but i still can't figure out how to slide it's insides out.
The top of the FMP is also a sticker covering a cap to which the on/off switch is attached. But this top cap doesn't have any screws at all. All a bit of a puzzle. I'll post any results i have as soon as i know more

Someone here who disassembled the FMP made an important point:
When the screws are taken out the bottom, don't push the insides out instantly. The button section must be pressed turned anticlockwise and lifted out before you do anything else. Otherwise, as I found out, the pieces which hold it in get broken and it may not go back on again.
