I recently purchased an iPod clone - the Tecknet V70 MP3/4 (1gig) player from Amazon, where it has very favourable reviews.

Oh dear. Where to start? Well the user guide is written in a barely intelligible translation from the Chinese for a start, and the formats actually supported seem to be a lot less than it says in the Amazon advert.

It keeps turning itself off, every few seconds (and yes I have tried to reset this option to longer without success and yes there is enough battery power).

The software disk supplied is freezes my screen when I load it (I am running a bog standard version of Windows XP Professional).

How to set up different folders is a mystery and as for amv conversion, I daren't even go there yet. At present the Movie option (which isn't covered in the User Guide) doesn't appear to work, but that might just be a format issue.

But I am new to these devices and maybe there is some help out there? Can anyone step forward to offer some advice if so I will post more about what my problems are in using it.
