Thanks for the information. After spending several hours last night, as a result of which I posted my first message, I am about to start again and will do so with the advice you posted.

One thing is puzzling me - how do I set up separate folders on the MP3 player? I have no idea how to go about this. I have managed to copy a couple of MP3 songs and a Jpeg onto it so far I don't know how to set up folders on it. Do I need some special software?

I am also having problems navigating from one Menu to another. According to the user guide, it is possible to do this by pressing Play. This should exit me from the option I am in and return me to the previous Menu screen. But when I press play either nothing happens or it activates the Turn off option.

Finally although there are separate Music and Movie menus, when I select the Movie menu it just brings up the Music screen. Is this because I don't at present have any movies to select?
