Uxcell are very good .. the products and the prices.
I've bought 3 mp4 players.. all full metal platinums and though the battery life is shorter than i'd like it to be.. they all work beautifully.
For the price i cannot possibly expect any of them to perform to the level of a genuine iPod.. but that not a big deal. I know what i'm getting for my money. Not everyone can afford to pay hundreds of dollars for the latest in gadgets. In my line of work i see so many kids wanting the latest iPod but thier parents aren't financially well off so they have to go without.. while a few of their more fortunate friends are waving expensive iPod nanos in thier faces.. it really doesn't seem fair.
I don't know what everyones deal is with the Glacier though.. when you think about it.. only a reasonably small number of people on this forum have reported problems with them... can you imagine how many other glaciers are out there that actually DO work? I would bet that it's a popular model
Everyone seems to be focused on the problems SOME users on this forum have had.. so they decide "Oh... the Glacier is no good"
Lets get real world here for a moment... In order to determine how bad or how good the Glacier really is, is to count how many posts are there that report the Glacier has problems, how many posts there are with people having problems with other models and how many other models that were purchased through Uxcell and how many were not. Then maybe ask Uxcell how many Glaciers they've sold and ask them to include the number that they had returned because they were faulty.
I guess in said real world situation you would have to include how many people have destroyed thier Glaciers through sheer negligence and/or mistreatment but have refused to report that and blame it on Uxcells quality control. Include also cases of the item being damaged in transit.
It really is a bad habit of human nature to focus on the negative rather than the positive.
I'm going to get one...
