Yep, I experience the same thing with the 1.8 FMP. When I browse song to song, or through folders, it takes 3-5 seconds each step. I like the instantaneous response of the click wheel of the real nano. Plus, songs are sorted by the time it's downloaded rather than alpha- what a pain.
on another note, the sound over exceeds my expectations. it blows the sound out of my old $300 Archos Gmini 220 from about 3 years ago. Compared to the real nano, sound quality is a tad lower but awesome nonetheless. It looks good, sounds good, but acts slow, but I can live with it and so can my wife since I gave her back her nano
