I don't know where you're from, but the country you're in right now is called "Earth". It's actually more of a conglomeration of countries.

I'm sorry, when did I say you weren't? I even agree with your opinion here, because I feel the same. That I'm allowed to express mine and I could care less if you agree with it.
> But it's nice to know you speak on behalf of everyone else.
I don't, and I didn't say that. It's really not that complicated. I said I was speaking on behalf of all those who purchased FMP's and had no issues with them. That's far more than those who have, hence the reason my 2c is worth more than your 2c on this.

Yes, I do. Because you weren't just expressing your opinion of your own player, you were making generalizations about UXCell, such as saying that their customer service was poor. And this based on the fact that you have never even gone through the claims process with them, and only bought one player which you used only 2 days. It's not like they said "Sory, we decide not honour warranty with you. Ok, you go now, gwei lo. Hahahahaha". You were complaining about having to pay to return the product, as though "all the good companies" will gladly pay for your return shipping, or simply ship out free players to you on your say-so. UXCell did nothing wrong here, as you imply. They did nothing to deny your rights under warranty, if you have any. You did, in complaining about the way their return policy works, when its your responsibility as a customer to ensure you understand a company's warranty policy, if any exists, before you buy.
Based on your experiences, you would have people not buy an FMP just because you have issues with it. I was saying, I don't think you're giving people responsible advice to go on, because for most of the rest of the community at large who have purchased the FMP's, that is not the consensus. Plus you were making a general statement, going so far as to condemn the product by declaring it "not ready for prime time". Again, based entirely on only -your- personal experience with buying one player, as well as your prejudices whereby you claim the replacement player will also be faulty, before even waiting for them to get back to you, let alone waiting for it to come.
>Any player that actually turns on would be more reliable and play better
>.than my FMP. Return shipping to China is not free. Amazon has free >return shipping if the device if found to be defective. I think Buy.com >does too. Is that good enough for you?
No. It isn't. I said, and I quote:
"tell me where you would get a better and more reliable player than your FMP for $40 or less, with better service and a better guarantee, one where you dont have to pay a dime to return the player if its faulty."
That means, show me a link on Amazon or Buy.com that has a similar 1GB 2nd gen Nano for $40 or less. And don't forget, that must include the shipping cost! When you show me the link, I'll buy it, and if it turns on, I will give you this point, no questions asked. Even though you said that your FMP does turn on. I know a lot of poor kids in Ethiopia that would kill each other dead, to get their hands on such an mp4 player that shows them a beautiful yellow on blue hourglass. (Did you know that you could use it as an egg timer? Yes, if you turn it upside down, the sand crystals will flow the other way).
>All I know is that I have a dead player. I'm sure many people don't have issues with
>their players. I however did.
Now, I don't have a problem with what you're saying. Because now you're speaking for yourself. And you're speaking truthfully. Many people with FMP's don't have issues with their players. I'm one of them. Two FMP's so far, plus I expect to be ordering at least another one soon, and no issues to speak of.
>Just look at the forums, I'm not the only one with issues with the FMP. It looks like filpo >did too, maxx0831 did too, sosofly13 did too, Bennetto did too, luvarun did too,
>abandonstage did too.
I thought you just got finished saying many people don't have issues with the FMP? Well guess what? People also have issues with Meizu's, Teclasts, iPods, iRivers, Samsungs, Cowons, Sandisk's, Creatives, and even <insertnameofyourfavoritemp3ormp4playerhere>. So based on your logic, we should all recommend that nobody buy a damn mp4 player, is that correct? LOL!
>So don't make it sound like I'm on a personal vendetta against Uxcell.
Sorry, you're the one making it sound like that. You start a thread called "Can't Say I'm Happy With UXCell", and in it, cite that their customer service is "very poor" (which flies in the face of all those here, including me, who have put up messages of kudos to uxcell for their exemplary customer service), saying that they should never have released the product, after your full two day expert judgement on it, and even going so far as to recommend others not buy it. Despite only having purchased one, and only one, ignoring all the reviews and comments people have on this site saying how much they like it. Sounds like a personal vendetta to me.
>Based apon my experience with my FMP and their customer service I cannot recommend
>Uxcell to new buyers as of this point.
You would write this, but then tell me you're -not- on a personal vendetta against the company, right? And you say you're still hoping to get serviced by them, or can I assume you have given that option up after waiting for a week for an email response?
> Every manufacturer puts out a dud every once in a while.
I don't think they're the manufacturer per se. It sounds to me like they are the distributor for the manufacturer. And you keep being wrong. The FMP is by far, *not* a "dud". At least not by Chipod standards. Its probably their most popular player now, and I'm sure they must sell hundreds of them a week.
>The customer service department keeps having me read the FAQ or try reformatting.
>Obviously this happens frequently.
Yes, obviously. They must be used to people frequently sending in the players for stupid reasons when all they had to do was reformat the player, or RTFM.
>I just feel without the release of the firmware, these issues will keep on popping up on the forum.
The tool for saving and processing firmwares for your model hasn't been made yet. So if you did try playing around with the firmware as you're so eager to do, you'd probably end up bricking it. In which case, I imagine your warranty would be dead in the water.
>And yes I have tried to contact Keith back in Feb 27th with no response.
Try harder. Contact them directly on via their site, or ask the Admin if he can get through or what have you. I waited longer than you trying to get Keith's attention, and when I did, he explained that he never got my PM. He gets a lot of that, and we assumed he went over his mailbox limit is all. I had to wait but I got my warranty issues resolved in the end.
I guess for some, being without an mp4 is more of a "crisis" than it is for others. Then again, I write more about mp4ism than I actually use mp4 players....
