We can't be sure exactly how long it will take for a new version of S1fwx to come out that can handle version 9.0.48/50. I'd say roughly 2 or 3 months.. but could be longer.
NO... your player will not take any other version of firmware. If you were to flash another version to your player it will kill it for sure.. 100%. The version already in there is for that chipset only.
Just enjoy it for now and have patience.. the new software to mod it will be out soon
