Default Re: My headphone jack

My headphone jack broke too. I took the player apart and found that the jack was cracked and one of the soider points was loose. I checked with radio shack and they don't have the right size jack and said that I would probably have a hard time finding one. I was messing with it some more (tried putting superglue on the crack) and the rest of the points came loose and now the thing doesn't work at all. So if the jack isn't taken out properly, the whole thing might stop working. I may try to clean the soider off and try to get it to reconnect, but I think I messed it up....(not that I could have found someone that could fix it anyway). Now that I know that I got ripped off and bought a bogus 4gb player, I don't know if I care to fix it. I guess it's an expensive lesson in "you get what you pay for!" Good luck with yours.
