Windows 98 has a basic USB function but still needs the driver to recognise devices like USB thumb drives and Mp3/4 players.
Believe it or not, Windows 98/SE is still a popular operating system. Mostly among gamers and enthusiasts who desire a simpler system that can handle high quality graphics. I only upgraded to Win XP Pro 12 months ago. I miss the simplicity of 98... but not it's look lol.
Yep.. good idea to have maybe a folder for software like AMV Converter that you can use while travelling around.
But if you didn't have a cd with those drivers on it, you would be up the proverbial 'creek' if all you had was a computer running Win 98, and then without internet... i don't even want to think about it
Now back to finding my players driver cd.. I know it's on my desk here somewhere under the clutter
