I have the mp3/mp4 black I-Premium style nano clone. It was hacked 4gb to 2gb, which is now showing after I reformatted. I did my reformat via windows and explorer, not the mp3 utilities cause I couldn't find that.

The original battery didn't last long at all, so I purchased a new one from ebay through digi street. So far this battery only last saround an 1 hr of continuous music. It charges ok, through both the computer and the power adapter. However I've been told to stay away from the using the power adaptor.

I have noticed that there are two lines of suggestion for recharging. One is to let the battery run down and then fully recharge. Other suggestions are to keep topping it up. UXcell suggest that batteries should be charged for a full 8hrs after first purchasing it. They also recommend that you charge for at lest 4hrs each time you charge.

At present with my replacement battery, after fully charging it, the battery indicator depletes for at least 1/4 after I start listening to a song, or click through looking for new tracks. I have let the battery run down a couple of times so far. I will try a few more times.

You can purchase Apple nano batteries online that have twice the miliamps of this battery for the same price. Not sure if the Apple batteries will be suitable though.

I am not sure what else I can do to recharge the battery.
