Thanks for your reply but the player it's not properly a new model...so it works with an AAA battery. I' ve changed and tested it but it seems not to be the problem. Maybe it's an internal electrical problem connected to the battery...but how can I discovered it?

I've red in the site that SigmaTel chipset are very hard to revitalize...but I would like to try! I think the problem sets there...in PackardB forum many users had the same trouble of mine with the similar model (Audio Twin) after upgrading to the same firmware I got, and the answer to their questions was to keep the player back to shop in warranty. But I didn't buy it a shop...

Any idea upon the chipset?
