Sounds like a possible problem with the memory itself. Possibly a corrupt memory block. Formatting might help.
If that doesn't work, then run a check disk on your drive.
To do this:
1. Click [Start] and [
Run]
2. Type in
cmd
3. Type in
- Change the
d: to whatever drive your player is displayed as in Windows Explorer.
4. You might have to press [Y] for "yes" if it saids the drive is in use.
