arvin9783, You could try formating the player. The other thing that may be causing the problem is a hacked memory chip, you can check this by connecting your player and running the Disk Tool which is part of MP3 Player Utilities which should be on your mini CD or there are several versions in the Downloads\Tools section.
When you run the disk tool you will see 2 tabs one for Format and one for Partition. Have a look at both tabs and check the memory capacity they should read the same. If the format tab reads larger than the Partition tab then the memory may be hacked.
