I am new to this forum so please go easy on me !!
I have been using avi converter 2.0 and the resulting video's are juddery, so I downloaded the pal converter.ini which is on this site. This now makes the video nice and smooth but I have audio sync problems, but I think this was a problem even before the .ini mod. The audio is always ahead of the video but I have found that if I use rewind search, it sometimes cures it. I have used a few different types of third party converters but none thus converted will play. I have found avi 2.0 uses a type of codec(possibly like xvid) called:-
MEncoder Sherpya-MinGW-20060312-4.1.0

I have tried u.k. vob files 25fps, music videos 29.--fps and none are in sync. The only one that seems to work is a film that was encoded with a frame speed of 23fps, which is perfectly in sync and never seems to falter.

Has anyone got a difinitive answer as to how to make the audio in sync or a way to alter the converter.ini to achieve this. I tried this myself with limited knowledge but the files just won't play so I obviously don't know what I am doing !!
Please help as I am sure many people would be interested in how to achieve this. The picture is stunning and so is the sound; If they could be brought together, it would be fantastic .
