You have not told us what player you are using but I am guessing it is a Sumvision Sempra Pro.

AVI Converter is just a GUI for Mencoder which converts video files to xvid. Mencoder normally uses a command line interface which is why AVI Converter is such a help as you do not have to worry about entering lines of code.

AVI Converter 4 is downloadable from this site and when used with the pal2 ini file, I have found that the sync problem disappears. When you download the ini file there is also a html file which explains how the change in frame rate was what was required to achieve this. eg moved down to 24 fps instead of 25fps.

Maybe moving down another step to 23 fps by updating the ini file in wordpad would work for you but it is the framerate that you must be sure of as the Sempra Pro expects it to be just a fraction short of 24.
