Has your player always been like this or has this only just happened recently?
I suspect either a problem with the memory or a 'dead' player.
If your player has always been like that, then it's definately an issue with the player that should be fixed under warranty or replaced by the seller. However, if you've tried a firmware update on your player and because of this, produced this problem, then what you have is a 'dead' player.
