Default Re: Need difinitive help on avi converter

I'm sorry to hear you are having the same problem but as yet I have not found a fix for it yet. It would seem to me that the original video that came with the player is not made the same as when using the conversion software such as avi converter 2.0 which is what I have been using. I have found that when converting u.k. dvd's using avi converter 2.0 with the converter ini mod for 25f.p.s. , the sync problem is only apparent on some dvd's and as you have said, rewinding the video for a short while usually cures the problem, for a while at least. I have found when converting music videos, the sync problem is on it permanently and cannot seem to get rid of it at all, but most music videos that I have are not 25 f.p.s. but usually 29f.p.s. for some unknown reason, so the sync problem would seem to be that the audio and video are not mutually linked to each other as I believe they are with most other formats. I do not know enough about this to help you but maybe others can pitch in and help. I am sure someone out there has the knowledge to sort this problem out. Sorry I could not have been of more help.
