If you attempted to extract your 9.0.48 it will be incomplete and 'unrepairable' -(see the s1fwx documentation)
S1fwx can't completely extract firmware versions above 9.0.43 and s1res can't load these incomplete firmware files to edit them.
You'll either have to live with the current firmware theme, contact the players manufacturer for the full version or find the exact firmware somewhere else. The last option is extremely difficult.
