I have a player very similar to the
'TeckNet A388 2G MP4 Player With Build-In Stereo Speaker & FM' player. I found it OK. It uses a Sigmatel chipset which is not easily modifable. If you can, get a hold of an ACTIONS chipset player as there are more tools available so you can theme it etc. It's nice to have the two external speakers and two earphone jacks. The menu navigation isn't all that great and intuative.
