Default Re: AVIConverter.ini file posted by Grindathotte-Help !!

I have just found this site. Hi all.

I have purchased an MP3/4 player but I can't get avi files to work either.
The player came without software but the instruction book says it uses AVIConverter 2.0. I have tried V2, V3 and V4 but they only produce a file error message.

Looking at the file summary in Windows the Test File supplied with the player has a width of 176 pixels and a height of 220 pixels. When played by windows the picture is rotated counter clockwise.

AVIConverter only offers 220 width x 176 height and when played by windows produces a normal display however the actual width is shown as 224..

I have found that if I open the Converter.ini file and change round the height and width setting, the player still rejects the file but if when I swap round the figures I also change the 224 to 220 the player attempts to play the file (displays at least the first frame) but then jumps to the test file (as it's the only other avi file on the player). The displayed picture is obviously not the right way round and is squashed up.

I cannot find any conversion software which works.

The player is a 2 inch, 2G + 2G mini SD card model and can be seen at WWW.ebest24.co.uk in their MP4 section.

Any help would be gratefully received as ebest24 are slow to respond and it is driving me mad!!

Regards,

Grahame
