I have the exact same player as this. I lost the screen on my player too.

I bet you haven't tried this one.
Try to load this into
your own version of ConsumerUpdate that came on the Cd with
your player, If comsumerUpdate accepts it, then try upload it to your player.
I assume that you are able to get into update mode with your player. Don't short out any pins on the chip if your player still plays music, you can still navigate the menu.
This firmware defaults to Hebrew Language, but there are European languages on it too, you just have to navigate the hebrew menu to select them, English is 3rd from the very top of the list. To select a Language I had to press the play button for some reason. Hope this works for you..
