install an mp4-player

I hope someone can give an answer...
Last month I bought an MP4-player on Ebay with Newcomdigi. I don't know if they are on your blacklist of sellers but I got it now...
It's supposed to be an MP4-player, 4GB from i-Platinum. It bought it from Newcomdigi out of Hongkong and I can't complain about the delivery. When I tried to install the player on the computer he told me he didn't recognize the new hardware and that I should insert an software cd. I put in the cd that was with the player but then I got a message that there was something wrong and the only thing I can do is close the window.
The softwarecd is written in Chinese so I can't understand a damn thing.
When I talked to the people of newcomdigi, by msn, the send me over a link of a webcam and tell me to install it so that it should work. I found that funny but tried it anyway, without succes.
Is there anybody who has an I-platinum player and knows what I should do?
