luhempatel , have a look in the CD that came with the player, sometimes it comes with a firmware file either in .fw or .bin format.
Install MP3 Utilities and see if Disk Tool or Upgrade Tool detects your player?

If MP3 Utilities does not detect your player, then you would need to perform a Dead Player Recovery, guide here

However, the recovery is not a 100% solution. And in most cases i'll suggest that you contact your seller for an exchange or refund. As your current firmware version is not supported by the extraction tool as yet.
