I can't understand why people have so much trouble playing videos on a Rockchip.
I found that the simple AviConverter I got with the player worked just fine from day 1 and should do for most users.
I just needed to select the 220x176 resolution from the drop down, It's true as DaremoS says, it does actually need to be 224x176, but AviConverter makes it that anyway even if you select 220x176, just check the file properties.
Maybe I'm just lucky but everything I seem to throw at it works, mpg's, vob files even a .mov file worked for me.
