The bad news for us is that when appears "there are too many bad blocks" means that the flash "hard disk" was damaged.
This seems to happen when a user tries to upgrade several times unsuccessfully without reformatting the flash.
At least this is what happens to my rockchip machine.
To use the Nand tool is a very lucky situation cause seems that this tool only requires appropriate chip, which is not the one I have in my device.
I think that I will try to push my device to a really dead recovery, as I haven't been able to find a tool to format a Rockchip flash.
