Default Sites to upload so you can store/share files

[html:1dc4c63f15]
<div class="postoverflow">Hi everyone,

Would like to hear your opinion on this topic.

I'm trying to find an alternative site to store/host uploaded files and files for downloads. This will act as a secondary download location in case there are any problems with this site which is preventing people from downloading.

I've heard of the popular <span style="font-weight:bold">RapidShare.com</span> and <span style="font-weight:bold">MegaUpload.com</span>.

<div style='float: right; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 5px; border: 1px dotted #d5d6d7; clear: both; padding: 5px;'>
<a onmouseover="window.status='http://box.net'; return true;" title="Box.net" onmouseout="window.status=''; " href="http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-2171307-10490229">
Click the image to open in full size.</a></div>

Now there is a new one: <span style="font-weight:bold">Box.net</span>.

The thing I like about this is they offer a referral fee. This is good for us as most of you might already know, this is a self funded (by myself) site and FREELY available to everyone. So the referral fee would help greatly towards our hosting fees.

I am looking at the <span style="color:blue"><span style="font-weight:bold">PREMIUM/PAID services</span></span> by these sites. I don't want to inconvenience our members by redirecting them to a site with loads of advertising and the possiblity that the download gets deleted after xx days of inactivity.

So, if anyone has any recommendations/experiences, it would be great to her them.

<span style="font-weight:bold">Box.net</span> offers a free service as well with no advertising, which looks very promising. However, bandwidth is limited to 10GB/mo and File Size Limit = 10MB for the free 'Individual' account.

This can also be good for others who are looking at a good file hosting service. I know I can use it to backup my files and access it from anywhere on the internet.</div>
