mathomas3, If your players memory chip is a Hynix HY27UT088G2M then it's true capacity is 1GB not 8GB. The memory chip has been altered (hacked) so that it reads larger than it's true size. The reason you are getting corrupted files etc is because files loaded over the true 1GB size of your chip are being written to memory that does not really exist and are basically just ghost or index files.
The best thing you can do is return the memory to its true capacity otherwise eventually the player will crash and becoem unusable. You will only end up with 1GB of storage but your player should function wiothout any problems.
