Default Re: How can I Scan/Fix or Reformat my mp3 using Linux ubuntu

Thank goodness you came back ! Hey thanks for hang'in in there with me. You're all I got now. I'm down like a Caddie on four flats to try whatever it is you seem to be talking about, but after googling around the "manpages" etc I still haven't any idea of how to make it happen. I'm really sorry, I swear I'm not like stupid, just new to alot of this. On multiple platforms across the board sorry to say. So with that said, something odd happened today. I added some of these other songs that weren't in the player originally. However I did attempt to put them in and only about 5 out of 15 came up playable. The other 10 did take up space though (possibly). None of them came up that were visibly found that would not play and "trip" the format error causing it to shut off -such as the case with generally most of the files in my player. Today for some reason I tried to copy the files that didn't "take" the last session I put songs in as a test in response to the "Format Issue" For some reason it accepted 9 of the 10 songs just fine. Never even making mention of there possible presence in any way. Go figure ? What do you comment about the warning I found on the manpages for one of the commands(right ? not programs ? )that you suggested. What exactly am I doing anyways ? Any step by step solution would be easiest. Is there anything like that available ? How terribly into depth is it ? thank you so much for all your help ! :?: :?: :?:
