I used windows to reformat the player and it seems to work alright at the moment.
It's a bit worrying though that the mp3 tools can't be used with it. When I try it just says that there is no player found. Does anyone know a way around this?
Thanks again for your help. I now have a working player - fingers crossed - and it is still almost 1gb
