It seems that the Omega V88 has been replaced with the
Omega V89, where the sole difference between them is that the V89 now comes (thankfully) equipped with a 3.5mm jack instead of the 2.5mm one.
There is also a slightly different version of it called the
Temptation. I am more partial to this, but I cannot confirm if the LED backlight for the touch pad is blue.
What do you guys think? I am thinking of purchasing it as a sort of upgrade from the Samsung YP-T8 which I am currently using, but is sort of hesitant because of:
- Low battery life of only up to 8 hours only for music (my YP-T8 yields 20 hours very easily)
- Is the Rockchip based user interface as "ugly" as many say they are?
- The availability of firmwares
- The size and quality of the voice recording feature (it's in WAV, while my YP-T8 records in really high quality MP3 up to 192kbps)
- Also for FM radio, does anybody know if it records in WAV or MP3 format?
