Thank you for the reply. I did try this but perhaps you can clarify a couple of things for me.
1:- In my ignorance and because of another post found on this site I may have misinterpreted what I saw on the other post and tried to connect two pins on the same side of the chip, as when I did this the screen shut down and went black. Does this mean caput MP4 player?
2:- If point one does not rule out the possibility of restoring the drive, when trying to connect pins on either side of the chip does this mean for example Pin 1 and any of the other side pins and then pin2 and any other until hopefully success?
