simono , do format it with the HP Format Tool given above, as typical Window formating would not be able to remove any memory hacks (if there are any). The symptoms you've given do match those of a hacked player.
As scatwell mentioned, he too has a hacked player with Rockchip, and I would be very interested to know of the outcome of your player.
