stevie1 & amsecure , the problem with these players are the version numbers are not reliable. Manufacturers change firmware coding as the hardware changes (perhaps weekly or daily). However, they do not have proper versions control, so even if the version number looks exactly the same, chances are it is likely to be different.

In stevie1's case, now that the player is recognised as an ADFU device but no drive appears for the player. You'll need to flash in a compatible firmware first before the drive would appear. You would be needing the v9.xx firmwares here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...ware-dc37.html
As there is no way to tell which firmware would work properly with your player, you'll need to try all of them. However, do note that the trial & error method might brick your player and you might need to repeat the shorting process again.

For amsecure, keep repeating the shorting process until the player "reboots" and get detected by the computer. Once done, install ADFU and follow the same steps as above.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29
