I haven't suffer of settings lost in any rockchip... only once in my Meizu.
Anyway I am very careful in all concerning the way i swich ON/OFF my devices or when I plug or unplug them from USB.
Videos are played horizontally in the wonderful 2.8" screen... it's really comfortable.
