So i won't be surprised that your "4GB" was hacked too. Considering a 2GB chip costs about USD$28, and you paid about USD$37 for your player, it is extremely likely it is hacked, perhaps only a real 1GB.
i'll suggest that you get a full refund from your seller. As there are no known v9.0.50 firmware extraction tools at the moment, you'll probably be unable to recover your player.
