Temptation lousy software or lousy UXCell support??? Or both
Last week my new Temptation player arrived - looks great, cool style, buttons and pictures, but one big problem I still could not figure out:
The player turn itself off if not in use in about 3 minutes, the only one way to bring it back is to push side button...It would be OK if I wanted to suffle between small songs, but I bought this player for audiobooks, which are rather big MP3 files - when player turns itself off it looses the stop point for a book and after reboot starts MP3 ftom the beginning.
Other issue - when I choose Music from the menu, it starts to play first file immediately. Pretty annoying...
I've contacted UXCell through e-mail and chat support - no help at all! It looks like they never had this player in their hands (see below fragments from my conversation with "stella"):
"stella: pls turn off the saving mode
G: Am I doing it right? I go to settings ->time off->choose off. Right?
stella: maybe wrong
G: I did it, but if player not in use, it turns itself off and the only way to bring it back is to reset it using side button - this way it looses the information where I stopped my MP3
stella: just turn off saving mode, that will be ok
G: Where in menu I can find saving mode?
stella: go to settings first, then you can find it yourself
G: Here is what I have in settings submenu: Music, Radio, Record, Display, Auto Play set, System, Power off time, Default set. Where is "saving mode" in Temptation model?
stella: please forget saving mode now
stella: choose power off time now
G: I did exactly as you just said, it still not works! I go to settings ->power off time->choose off.
stella: then choose off time, set is as 0
G: there is no option, as 0!!!
stella: zero
stella: understand?
stella: you can adjust the offtime
G: There are: off, 10 min, 15 min, 30 min, 60 min and 120 min. Where is zero?
stella: adjust it to zero!!
G: "off" does not work!
G: I mean, how to adjust it to zero if there is no "zero" option, just what I listed.
stella: wait
stella: if you click or enter off time, there will be a red transverse line
G: No line, just check mark in front of "off" option. What button should I choose to have this line visible?
stella: after you choose an option, you need to press M button to confirm your selection, did you do that?
G: I do not have M button on this player! I have only central blue button with red light underneath, which put check mark in front of the "off" option then I press it.
stella: Display---Blight Mode----Normal" etc They promise me to send e-mail with instructions, never received one. I've tried all "power off" setings, the result is the same - 3-4 min of stopped MP3 and player hangs up (does not matter how display mode set)...
Anyway, could somebody help me to figure out how to make this player resume? Does "cool multifunctioning rockchip" is able to resume play or all it's coolness is Vista-like pictures and nothing more? I will appreciate any suggestions...
