Default How to navigate the menu

Chipod "4GB"= 2GB MP3/4 Player Menu Navigation

I found the instructions that came with my Chipod were for some other model and were difficult to read/understand to say the least.

Here is my interpretation of how to navigate the menu system:

From standby mode (i.e. switched on but display blanked):

A 3 second press of the > || key takes you to the last function used.

You will find the player much easier to use if you increase the period that the display
stays on for. Move to the SYS Setup function to make the change.

Generally you get to the function selections by a prolonged press of MENU.
Then use |<< left and right >>| arrow keys to move from one function to the next. (MUSIC, MOVIE, SYS Setup etc) When you reach the desired function click MENU to action it.

Having entered SYS Setup use the |<< left and right >>| arrow keys to
move up or down the list to the LCD Set. Select it
by a short click of MENU and move the slider fully to the right with the right arrow key, then click MENU to store it.

WHILST PLAYING

The >|| key has the obvious start/stop function.

Whilst a song is playing a prolonged press of the left or right keys will move backwards
or forwards within the song. A short click of left or right moves to previous or advances to next
song.

A short click of VOL brings up a pop-up for volume which is adjusted by left and right
keys. You give a short click of >|| to get out of volume adjust.

A short click of MENU gives access to equaliser settings etc.

A prolonged press of MENU stops the song playing and takes you to function select level.

WHILST STOPPED

Left and right still move from song to song.

A prolonged press of VOL takes you to voice record. >|| stops/starts recording.

A prologed press of MENU (saves the voice file and) takes you up to function selection.

A short click of MENU takes you to your music files.

Use left or right keys to get to the desired file and use a short click of MENU key to select it. To move up the directory tree use left or right keys to get to the top of the list and use a short click of MENU to action it but be patient because it can take time to respond.

A prolonged press of >|| sets the player back to standby mode.

This is probably enough to get you started.
