Try using the Play button to off the player instead.
This is one of the huge "battery saving" features I simply hate. I would really like to be able to turn off the darn player, without it having a lobotomy done on itself each time. If my player sits for a few days after being turned off using the middle "round" button (nano clone), it is dead, and must be plugged in to come back to life. I would love to use the power switch, but don't because the clock (and who knows what else) is lost.
