Benbef , usually the firmware version only tells you which group of firmware and chipset it uses. These players don't really have a "model", and chances are you won't be able to find any manufacturer's website for the particular "model".

However, it is possible that your player might be using the ACU7515 chipset.

For the formatting, try installing MP3 Utilities on an XP computer instead.
