rameez,

There might be a possiblity of alerting the buttong configuration but it depends on your player's firmware and what chipset it uses as it's not compatible with all firmware versions and chipsets.

It might be 'safer' to see if you can fix the button by taking your player apart than playing around with the firmware as that could render your player completely 'dead' which means, none of the buttons will work, nor the player .
