S1fwx was made specifically for Actions chipset, so it would not be able to read your player.
It is very unlikely that Rockchip players are hacked, as usually this occurs in Actions chipsets instead. If your player is working fine, i'll suggest not "upgrading" the firmware as you'll more likely brick it instead.
