What are the files? Usually the come with demo video, audio, picture and text files. Usually not install files though. Would be interested to know what they've put on it though.
But if they are install files, I would say it's ok to move. Some players requires specific folders to put files into (like music and videos) for the player to detect them but I haven't heard of a player that requires an install executable file to be on the player for it to function though.
