Have to agree - do not change the firmware!!!!

Instead connect the mp3 player to your pc with the USB cable you got with the player.

On the pc you will see the player as a "removable drive" rigth click on this and choose the Format option.

I did this and chose Fat32 - my player was then reformatted with the correct 1Gb file layout and i can now copy as many files as i like to the player - obviously if you try copying over the 1gb limit windows will tell you there is not enought free space etc.

In all not a bad player just a pity it is not the 4Gb i paid for.

Hi CUKIO34,

I would strongly suggest against loading another firmware as there is a high chance you can 'kill' your player by putting on an incompatible firmware.

If you FORMAT your player, you will have better success at removing the memory hack than trying to load another firmware.
