Default Re: Buying From Global Sources

chiod_O,

I have a number of good contacts from Global Sources and haven't been ripped off by any seller before.

All the ones I contacted are all legit and have traded fine. However, that is not to say that EVERYONE on there is legit. The ones I contacted are.

Some advice for you if you want to get into that area:

1. Ask lots of questions. The ones that answer are the ones that know what they're talking about and want your business.

2. Ask for their website address and make a 'surprise' phone call to their office to make sure that the person actually works there!

3. Ask for SAMPLES. You can then get away with ordering 2-5 units instead of a container full. Sample prices will be higher than the quoted price as you are not ordering in quantity. Worst case, if you get ripped off, at least it's only for a small amount.

4. Ask for a CHEAPER price and say another supplier can supplier it cheaper. The quoted price is not necessarily the best price they can give you.

Hope that helps.
