do you use windows vista or xp?

if you use vista, this was a problem for my PA20 as well.

as for xp, there are drivers you can install that helps with the detection, however, i have found it is hit or miss if xp will detect it. i would say 25% of the time it would detect properly.

as for fixing your player.....

i am afraid your player is bricked at this time. you cant upgrade the firmware unless the player is on. if you cant turn it on, you cant upgrade the firmware.

its very possible that something was wrong with the players electronics.

i suggest contacting the seller and see if there is anything that can be done in order to resolve this situations, ie. a replacement or refund.

i havent noticed to many hacha owners on this site so a good source of of hacha info is http://www.mp4nation.net/forum/

you might be able to short a circuit to turn it back on, but i dont know.
