Default SNAP! sound between audio tracks on new Oppo S5 Super Five

I just got an S5I (4GB version). I ordered it direct from China. It's well made, and it looks very nice, but I'm having a major problem with the audio. It's tough to describe, so bear with me here.

As soon as I got it, I put some FLAC files on the player. When playing them back, I noticed that a "SNAP!" sound comes through the headphones in between each track. Sometimes the player also quickly fades the volume down and back up again in between each track (apparently, to disguise this snap sound). I've never experienced anything like this with FLAC files. When playing FLAC through WinAmp on my home computer, the tracks always flow seamlessly. There are never any clicks, snaps or even gaps of silence between tracks.

I have also confirmed that the same occurs when playing back standard WAV files.

Furthermore, nobody who has purchased the similar Oppo V9 has reported having this problem.

Is this normal for an mp4 player, and is there a way to get rid of the snap between each track? Is this a firmware issue?

Obviously, this is driving me crazy. I bought the player for audio, but if I can't fix this, it will only be useful for video playback. I'm really disappointed. Of course, I cannot recommend this model to anyone until this issue is resolved.
